Brevo’s pricing is genuinely different from most email marketing tools: you pay for how many emails you send each month, not how many contacts sit on your list. That single design choice changes who gets a bargain and who overpays — so it’s worth understanding before you pick a plan.
This guide is based on Brevo’s official help-center pricing documentation and official product terms, read in September 2026. Only the plan starting prices were confirmed officially; exact per-tier prices beyond the “from” amounts were not published on the pages we reviewed. Pricing may have changed — check the official page for current figures before you commit.
How Brevo Pricing Works: Sends, Not Contacts
Most email platforms (Mailchimp, Kit, ActiveCampaign) charge by contact count: a bigger list means a bigger bill, even if you rarely email anyone. Brevo flips this. You choose a monthly email send volume, and that determines your price. The send-volume tier also sets a contact-storage cap — so the two are linked, but sends are what you’re buying.
Practical example: a business with 40,000 contacts sending one newsletter a month uses 40,000 sends. On Brevo, that’s covered by a mid-tier plan. On a contact-based platform, 40,000 contacts can cost several hundred dollars a month regardless of sending frequency. Conversely, a business with 2,000 contacts emailing them daily (60,000 sends/month) will find Brevo relatively expensive — the model rewards large-but-quiet lists and penalizes small-but-loud ones.
Two mechanics to know:
- Auto-upgrade on contact limits. On the first three tiers of Starter and Standard (500 / 1,500 / 2,500 contact caps), Brevo sends warning notifications as you approach the cap, then automatically upgrades you to the next tier — and its price — if you exceed it. Watch your contact count if your list grows fast.
- Unused monthly credits expire. Subscription credits renew each month on your billing date, and whatever you don’t use expires just before renewal. Seasonal senders should weigh this against prepaid credits (below), which never expire.
Free Plan — $0/month
Brevo’s Free plan is free forever, with no credit card required and no time limit. It includes:
- 300 email sends per day
- Storage for up to 100,000 contacts
- 1 user seat
- Email and SMS campaigns, plus transactional emails and SMS
- Drag-and-drop email editor, custom templates, reusable sections
- Basic reporting and analytics
- Multi-channel marketing automation, limited to 2,000 contacts
- Free built-in sales tools (50 open deals, 1 pipeline, live chat, meeting scheduling, and more)
- Aura, Brevo’s AI assistant, and email support
The honest limitation is throughput: 300 sends a day means a 10,000-contact list takes over a month to email once. But for testing, transactional email, and very small operations, it’s a real working plan rather than a trial.

Starter — From $9/month
Starter removes the daily sending limit and is the entry paid tier for regular senders. It’s organized by monthly email sends, with each tier carrying a matching contact-storage cap:
- 5,000 sends per month → up to 500 contacts
- 10,000 sends → up to 1,500 contacts
- 15,000 sends → up to 2,500 contacts
- 20,000–100,000 sends → up to 500,000 contacts
Starter includes everything in Free, plus web push notifications (1,000 targeted subscribers per campaign send), global data feeds, and 1 conversion metric.
What’s confirmed: the “from $9/month” starting price. What’s not: the exact price of each send tier above the entry point. Brevo’s official help page didn’t publish per-tier dollar amounts during our research, and third-party sites report conflicting figures. So treat any specific number you see elsewhere (e.g., “$29 for 20,000 emails”) as unverified until you see it on Brevo’s own pricing page.
Also note: removing the Brevo logo costs an extra $9/month on Starter, and the Sales Essentials CRM add-on ($31/month) can be attached here.
Standard — From $18/month
Standard is Brevo’s most popular tier by positioning, aimed at growing businesses that need automation depth and analytics. The send tiers mirror Starter’s:
- 5,000 sends per month → up to 500 contacts
- 10,000 sends → up to 1,500 contacts
- 15,000 sends → up to 2,500 contacts
- 20,000–500,000 sends → up to 500,000 contacts
It adds everything in Starter plus: up to 3 user seats (additional seats $9/month each), web push to 10,000 targeted subscribers per campaign send, 1 landing page, marketing automation with unlimited contacts, A/B testing, AI send-time optimization, advanced reports and analytics, and priority email support.
The same caveat applies: “from $18/month” is officially confirmed; per-tier prices above that were not published on the official page we reviewed. Pricing may have changed — check the official page.
Professional — From $499/month
Professional is Brevo’s enterprise-lite tier for high-volume senders and ecommerce operations: 150,000 to 10 million monthly email sends, with storage for up to 2 million contacts.
Everything in Standard is included, plus: 10 user seats; AI product recommendations; back-in-stock alerts; WhatsApp campaigns and transactional messaging; web and mobile push notifications (20,000 targeted subscribers per campaign send, expandable via add-on); marketing pressure management; 1 custom object; AI segmentation; 10 landing pages; Analytics Studio with dashboards; contact scoring; inbound webhooks; phone and priority email support; 1 hour per year with a Customer Success Manager (yearly plan only); and 3 hours per year with a deliverability strategist.
Professional add-ons: SAML SSO ($324/month), dedicated IP ($251/year), Sales Advanced package ($64/month), additional push subscribers, and an International package ($215/month for up to 7 languages total).
The jump from Standard to Professional is steep — $18/month starting versus $499/month starting — which means Brevo has a pricing gap for mid-size senders who’ve outgrown Standard’s 500,000-send ceiling but aren’t ready for enterprise-grade spend. If you’re in that gap, compare carefully against competitors before committing.
Enterprise — Custom Pricing
Enterprise is quote-based: talk to Brevo’s sales team. It includes unlimited contact storage and fully tailored sending volumes, plus everything in Professional and: unlimited user seats, sub-organization management, web and mobile push from 40,000 total push subscribers (unlimited targeted per send), mobile wallet notifications, custom objects, a custom number of landing pages, data transformation, Data Warehouse and SFTP access, 1 dedicated IP included, SAML SSO included, an SLA, and a Customer Success Manager.
Billing Frequency: Monthly vs Yearly
Two options:
- Monthly subscription: credits renew each month on your billing date; unused credits expire just before renewal; the subscription renews automatically. Monthly plans can be paused for up to 3 months — useful if your business is seasonal.
- Yearly subscription: a 10% discount, charged upfront once a year. Credits still renew monthly. Yearly plans cannot be paused.
Displayed prices are exclusive of taxes, which are added at checkout. Take the yearly discount if you’re confident about your send volume; keep monthly if you’re still figuring out your rhythm — the ability to pause has real value for seasonal businesses.
SMS, WhatsApp, and Credit Pricing
Email sends are covered by your plan’s quota. SMS and WhatsApp run on credits, and the details matter:
- SMS credits: sold in packs starting at 100 credits; never expire. Per official Brevo product terms (version Feb 2026), the fixed unit price is $0.0109 per credit, with consumption per message set by country-specific rates and an overage rate of $0.0142 per credit.
- WhatsApp credits: also never expire; available on Professional and Enterprise. Prices vary by destination country and template type. You need an active WhatsApp Business account to use the WhatsApp channel.
- Prepaid email credits: packs from 5,000 to 1 million emails, never expire, where 1 credit = 1 email to 1 contact. While you’re spending prepaid credits, you get Starter-level features plus logo removal. Note the automation contact limit of 2,000 still applies with prepaid credits.
Because SMS credit consumption varies by destination country, check Brevo’s SMS pricing grid for your target countries before estimating costs — the $0.0109 unit price is the base, not the per-message price.
Sales CRM Add-ons
The sales tools deserve their own mention because they’re priced separately from marketing plans. Every plan — including Free — includes basic sales tools at no cost: 50 open deals, 1 sales pipeline, automated meeting scheduling, live chat, revenue/sales-cycle/team reports, forecasting, task management, 1 connected calendar and mailbox, the Conversations mobile app, and an AI Conversations agent.
Paid upgrades:
- Sales Essentials — $31/month (add-on on Starter, Standard, Professional, Enterprise): unlimited open deals and pipelines, pipeline stage rules, AI contact/company enrichment, sales automation workflows, chatbot scenarios, unlimited connected calendars and mailboxes, Instagram DMs and Facebook Messenger, no Brevo logo on chat, live visitor insights, and Conversations analytics (multi-user access requires Standard or higher).
- Sales Advanced — $64/month (Professional and Enterprise only): everything in Essentials plus outreach sequences, multiple deal currencies, round-robin scheduling, AI follow-up emails, AI chatbot, SMS/WhatsApp 1:1 messages, and Phone VoIP (call recording, voicemail, worldwide calling, call menu/transfer, AI call transcriptions and summaries, phone mobile app, call statistics).
Which Plan Should You Choose?
- Just starting out or testing: Free. No credit card, genuinely usable.
- Regular small sender (under ~10,000 sends/month): Starter from $9/month.
- Growing business needing automation and analytics: Standard from $18/month — this is the natural home for most SMBs.
- High-volume sender or ecommerce operation: Professional from $499/month, especially if you want WhatsApp, AI recommendations, and contact scoring.
- Large organization with compliance and scale needs: Enterprise, custom quote.
- Irregular sender: consider prepaid email credits (never expire) instead of a subscription.
One last reminder: the starting prices above were confirmed on Brevo’s official pages in September 2026, but per-tier prices beyond the “from” amounts were not published there — third-party sites conflict. Pricing may have changed — check the official page before you budget.
